GSD’s Crew Support Manager (CSM) is a vital shoreside role responsible for the comprehensive support to our Humanitarian Vessel (HV) and our maritime crew. They serve as the primary point of contact for the ship’s Captains and Heads of Department as well as senior GSD’s maritime staff for matters supporting the ship’s operational effectiveness.
Field Operations • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Senior Manager of Field Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of strategic departmental objectives into departmental actions. This position is also responsible for fostering a high-performing team environment, driving continuous improvement within Field Operations and ensuring alignment between strategic direction and tactical execution.
Operations and Planning • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Operations Manager supports the Operations and Plans Department in actioning and maintaining organizational systems and processes to enable GSD’s response and disaster preparedness mission. This position supervises the processes supporting GSD’s Operations Room, ensuring visibility and continuity of current and future operations (up to four weeks out).

The Operational Planning Manager supports the Operations and Plans Department by developing and maintaining a robust planning framework that ensures organizational readiness and operational continuity for the mid-term (4 weeks to 4 months out). This role focuses on anticipating future needs, developing proactive plans, and establishing standardized planning processes.
Executive • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a trusted member of the executive leadership team. While driving strategic, operating and organizational models to support Global Support and Development’s (GSD’s) growth, this role will provide a united and visible leadership presence across the organization.
Information and Awareness • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Information Specialist reports to the Information Manager and sits in the Program Quality and Information (PQI) Department which is part of the Strategy Section. The Information Specialist works with the Information Manager to develop and implement information management processes and systems both within the organization and for external partners.
Aviation • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Senior Manager of Aviation Operations supports the Chief Operations Officer (COO) with all aspects of developing and maintaining GSD’s aviation operations. This includes the management of maritime aviation capabilities onboard the Humanitarian Vessel, Operational Risk Management associated with all GSD’s aviation operations, oversight of vetting and relationship management of GSD’s aviation operators and partner network, SOP development, equipment procurement, and training support.
Response • Charlotte, North Carolina
The Response Specialist supports the GSD disaster response and capacity-strengthening teams, working closely with local partners in supporting communities. The Response Specialist participates in data collection, contextual analysis, and working groups to advance GSD’s strategic initiatives across the organization.
Maritime • Charlotte, North Carolina
GSD’s Senior Manager of Maritime Access leads all administrative, operational, and programmatic Maritime Access Team (MAT) activities and is the lead for integrating Maritime Access programming within broader organizational Programs.
