
Humanitarian Vessel
Operating since early 2023, our Humanitarian Vessel, Motor Vessel (MV) DAWN, is a key component of our disaster response capabilities and enhances our capacity to support partners throughout the Caribbean.
Capabilities
MV DAWN is specifically configured to provide humanitarian and disaster support and will allow us to offer the following capabilities to our partners:

Designed to support humanitarian activities without placing burden on local resources

Capable of hosting over 30 GSD mission staff and partners

Connected
State of the art communications technology to support GSD and partner activities

Mobile and flexible
Equipped with a range of embarked watercraft, vehicles, and a helideck to reach communities and support GSD and partner activities

Maritime-specific capabilities
Focused on maritime access including bathymetric data collection to provide seabed survey data to our partners

Potable water services
Producing, transporting, and off-loading bulk supplies of fresh water

Aviation operations
Helideck operations including aircraft refueling and underslung load cargo transfers

Heavy lift
Capable of transporting bulk commodities and containerized equipment enabling logistics support for GSD and partners

Underwater survey and dive capabilities to support opening access for humanitarian support

Offering a permanently configured mobile operations coordination facility for GSD, national emergency management associations, and partners
